On July 15, an exciting football match for “salute and inheritance” lit the passion for football at Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre (SZOSC) ahead of the finals of the 5th “2034 Cup” Primary School Students’ Football Games (U12) scheduled at SZOSC and several other venues in SIP from July 19 to 26. Former China national team captain Li Weifeng and Chinese stars Qu Bo, Xu Liang and Mao Jianqing faced off against a team of pupils in this cross-generational clash.

The event started at 7:30pm. The veterans demonstrated precision and experience, edging the spirited youngsters 4-3 in a high-tempo duel. The match highlighted both technical mastery and the spirit of perseverance that have been passed down from generation to generation.
