SIP Municipal Service Group (SIPMSG) has made a series of preparations for fighting Typhoon Co-May, the eighth typhoon of the year which struck the country’s eastern coast on July 30.
SIPMSG has designated emergency response teams responsible for 16 zones across SIP, and fully entered the emergency response mode since July 28 to monitor weather changes and get emergency equipment ready.
Patrols and inspections have been enhanced to ensure the normal operation of the local drainage system, prevent fall of trees and objects from high altitudes, and guarantee safety of underground and waterside spaces.
A special duty schedule has been adopted to ensure 24-hour transfer of information about potential risks.
